The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the fastener industry to rethink operational and sales approaches to maintain sales during this shutdown period. While many companies saw some kind of disruption in factory operations, sales, or both; the next challenge may be being prepared for increased demand when the economy fully recovers.
The connection we have to our customers is truly a relationship. We value the importance of communication, both in knowing how our customers view their business and in sharing how we are prepared to continue meeting their needs going forward.
A recent article highlighted nine actions a company should consider addressing now that will serve customers today and into the future. We are proud to say Rolled Threads is addressing several of these areas, including customer-focused ideas, such as understanding your needs and the importance of return on your investment.
Another area is being “prepared to pivot to the next normal.” Rolled Threads Unlimited is ready for this, as well. We have invested in brand new thread rolling machines and new die technology that allows us to raise the maximum hardness on parts we are able to roll.
Over the last year, we have begun operations with additional new Tesker 215 and new Tesker 645 thread rolling machines. A second new Tesker 645 is scheduled to be installed in the next month. These new machines, coupled with our new die technology that increases our rolling capabilities while reducing downtime due to die regrinds, is our investment for the future. We are prepared to continue serving our customers with a high degree of service and quality and are poised for the anticipated increase in demand for rolled threaded products.
