With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Gerald “Jerry” Buscher, the founder of Rolled Threads Unlimited, who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 81. Jerry’s journey as entrepreneur and family man has made an enduring impact on both the company he built and the community he cherished.
Jerry established Rolled Threads Unlimited in 1985, starting with just two thread rolling machines in a modest rented space. Through hard work, vision, and determination, he grew the company into what it is today: a premier thread rolling shop with unsurpassed expertise and the broadest range of capabilities. Even after his retirement, Jerry’s wisdom and guidance were invaluable to the company’s ongoing success.
Born and raised in Oak Creek, WI, Jerry attended Oak Creek High School and began his working career as a machinist. In 1966, he married his soulmate, Marilyn Heyden, marking the start of 58 wonderful years together. They raised two children, Brandon and Jerry II, and found joy in their roles as parents and grandparents.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jerry was known for his generous and kind spirit. Whether lending a helping hand to a neighbor or supporting friends and family, he exemplified compassion without judgment. His love of life extended to leisure pursuits—golfing, traveling, and an impressive knack for dice and card games, the latter in which he earned a reputation for both skill and luck.
Jerry’s legacy is one of purpose, love, and community. As we at Rolled Threads Unlimited mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he led and admire the impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him.
